Whereas:
Former union officials on President Obama’s National Mediation Board instituted a hasty rule change that dramatically increased the power of union bosses to corral airline and railway workers into forced-dues-paying ranks; and
Whereas:
The new union certification procedures stack the deck in favor of forced unionization by allowing just a minority of workers in a class or craft to force the entire workplace under union boss control; and
Whereas:
The rule change discards 75 years of precedent under both Democrat and Republican Administrations; and
Whereas:
The Railway Labor Act makes it almost impossible for workers to decertify an unwanted union once it has been installed, making union bosses less accountable to the rank-and-file;
Therefore:
I urge you in the strongest possible terms to stand strong in conference committee and keep the House FAA bill's provision that overturns the Obama National Mediation Board's union certification election rule change.
