Whereas:
There will be at least one new member of the
U.S. Supreme Court, and scores of lower court judges, nominated in the next two years; and
Whereas:
The U.S. Constitution charges the U.S. Senate with the
responsibility to scrutinize the qualifications of potential nominees to the Judicial Branch; and
Whereas:
It is the duty of the U.S. Senate to ensure the
independence of the Judicial Branch and its fidelity to the U.S. Constitution;
Therefore:
I urge you to use the Senate’s constitutional “Advice and Consent” power to
reject judicial nominees whose past records show a pro-Big Labor bias and
demonstrate an unwillingness to decide cases fairly in accordance with the Constitution and statutory law.
